With the 2020 Olympics snuggling up next to Japan, there will be some serious waves and crazy wipeouts. The competitors will not be judged on the number of waves they hit in a 20-25 minute period, but rather the difficulty of maneuvering on the best wave. All eyes will be on Shidashita Beach this summer.

#4 – Sport Climbing

Athletes will have 4 minutes to maneuver a 4-meter high wall with a variety of routes possible. As athletes get farther along, they will have to get over the top of a 15-meter high wall. There will not be any safety ropes for the athletes either.
