Predicting the Top 5 Picks of the NFL

By Shane R March 23, 2020

The 2020 NFL Draft is fast approaching. That begs the question of who will get drafted with the first five picks. Let’s start with Cincinnati and their needs.

#1 – Joe Burrow (QB) – Cincinnati

Cincinnati is over the Andy Dalton era. They need a quarterback who can fit throws into tight areas. Burrow’s fits the bill, who will still have windows to throw into with his accuracy in the NFL.

#2 – Chase Young (DE) – Washington

Washington likes its quarterback situation. Alex Smith comes back from injury or Dwayne Haskins lives up to his role as quarterback of the future. With Ron Rivera liking defense, Chase Young is a safe bet here.

#3 – Jeff Okudah (CB) – Lions

Alright, let us give Matthew Stafford one more year to prove himself. Pundits have been saying this for a while. If the Lions do not believe in Stafford, they go Justin Herbert (QB). But, Detroit needs a playmaker on the other end of the ball, so cornerback Okudah will be the third pick.

#4 – Tristan Wirfs (OL) – Giants

With Eli Manning riding off in the retirement sunset, and Daniel Jones taking the reins, the Giants need to protect their quarterback. Tristan Wirfs is from Big-10 school, Iowa, who breed linemen on trees. Wirfs will need to be a steady force for the young quarterback to be successful. This way, the young offensive Giants will be able to get to the offensive weapons, Saquon Barkley.

#5 – Tua Tagovailoa (QB) – Miami

Not even hip issues will keep Miami away from Tua. His ceiling is worth the risk. They haven’t had a quality quarterback since Dan Marino. It has been awhile.
