The Best NBA Trades at the 2020 Deadline

By Shane R February 25, 2020

As the 2019-2020 NBA Trade Deadline has come to a close, it is time to hit the best trades right before the deadline. Here were the top-3.

Detroit Pistons Trade Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavs

Andre Drummond is an elite center. He leads the league in rebounds at 15.8 rebounds per game.

Drummond also has career-best in points at 17.7 a contest. The Pistons were a team that needed a rebuild, but they really did not get much in return for the big man. The Cavs gave up guard Brandon Knight, big man John Henson, and a 2023 second-round draft pack.

But, the real question is will Drummonds sign a long-term deal with the Cavs or will he hit the free-agent market in the off-season? Time will tell.

Marcus Morris Goes To Los Angeles

The Lakers wanted him. The Clippers got him. Marcus Morris was traded to the Clippers in a 3-team trade.

With Morris on the squad, the Clippers will have another body to throw at LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with Morris to the Clippers, Los Angeles also got Isaiah Thomas. The Wizards received Jerome Robinson from the Clippers, while the New York Knicks got a 2020 first-round pick and Moe Harkless.

Wiggins To Golden State & Russell to Minnesota

The Wiggins era is over in Minnesota, as the Timberwolves traded the talent to the Golden State Warriors for guard D’Angelo Russell.

Also, the Warriors got a 2021 top-3 protected pick in the first round, as well as a 2021 second-round pick. For the Timberwolves, they received two other players: Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman.
