When it comes to the world of tennis, fans from all over the globe flock together to witness greatness. With a season that funnels from January to November, there is plenty to enjoy on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) circuit. As the 2019 season comes to a close, 2020 will be here before you know it. With that in mind, who will the top players to watch for? So, without further ado, let’s dive into the list.
#3 – Alexander Zverev
To start the list, it is important to highlight the German Alexander Zverev. Since he turned pro in 2012, the 22-year-old has led a crew of talented Next Generation players. Over the last six years, Zverev has won 11 titles and owns a 223-114 record on the ATP circuit. Last year, marked Zverev’s best finished in the Australian Open (4th Round) and the French Open (Quarterfinal). He will be looking for his 1st major championship in the 2020 season.
#2 – Stefanos Tsitsipas
At only 21-years-old, Tsitsipas had his best season ever. With a semifinal appearance in the Australian Open and a 4th Round exit in the French Open, he is inching closer to an elusive major title. To date, Tsitsipas has won 4 titles and as won almost $10 million.
#1 – Roger Federer
The ageless wonder will go for his 22nd season in 2020. Last year, Federer almost accounted for another major win, narrowly losing to Novak Djokovic. Currently, he owns 103 singles titles, which is 2nd all-time. Federer will look overtake the Jimmy Connors record of 109 singles titles in 2020.
